Merchandise Planner – Beall’s/Burkes Outlet Stores

As a Planner, you must be a driver, who can effectively manage and plan your business, in order to achieve the company’s financial objectives. As a Planner with our organization, you will need to achieve the business objectives of developing financial plans, including sales, inventory, markdowns, gross margin and turn rate. You will need to create assortment plans that support the financial plans and reconcile the Buyers merchandise plans, while making adjustments based on store performance and reforecasting. You will need to plan and monitor store needs in correlation with consistent and timely flow of communication with all business partners.
Planners will provide Buyers with market trip plan data to include dollars and units as it relates to forecast, receipt plan and store needs, will need to analyze weekly sales; generating reports and taking action as needed to meet and improve financial objectives, as well as conduct analysis by store to identify growth opportunities or disparities. In addition, Planners will need to develop actionable strategies with business partners to maximize sales and gross. Planners will lead a team and need to motivate, engage and inspire as well as provide leadership and training to others. We are looking for talent who not only seek development but can also strategically lead a business while managing a team.
Do you have a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of Planning experience, preferably in department store or off price? Your Planning experience can come from a variety of categories… Beall’s is willing to train you as long as you have the desire, willingness and enthusiasm. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Do you understand how to create financial plans, are resilient/adaptable, and react well to constant change? Have you had success leading a team and managing a business?
